Canine Ear Drugs also used in a cat?
Hi, I wondered if the drug dog MalOtic (it's a gentamicin sulfate, betamethasone valerate, USP, USP and clotrimazole ointment, USP) can be used on cats too? For the same reason .. bacteria yeast infection /. Is this medication used also commonly found in cats? Thanks by the way, was prescribed veterinary cat my boyfriend .. I just got tired of carrying a drug dog cat ears .. Nowhere does it say cat
It is not approved by the FDA for use in cats …. but it is commonly prescribed for them. We have some latitude to do when a drug has been proven safe and effective for a particular purpose, even if society does not spend money to support it. Tresaderm approving yeast infections, bacterial / Cats. I have only seen an adverse reaction to a cat …. MalOtic and I'm not convinced it was the drug that caused it. One of hundreds is a lower rate than many drugs approved anyway. I can say it is safe for all cats that I have not seen …. but if your boyfriend DVM has been prescribed for your cat, then I feel very good about it. very cautious ask you, though! Sometimes mistakes are made, and the wrong medication is sent home for one reason or another. Always … and I always say … call and ask if there doubt.
