Penile Yeast Infections Symptoms

Recently, my boyfriend started to have a red rash on the shaft of his penis. No itching, burning or discharge. We are both free of sexually transmitted diseases, and have never cheated. I wonder what that could cause rash. If we do not have sex seems clear but as soon as we still do, it is. About a week before I felt a little burning after intercourse who resigned shortly thereafter. It is possible that I could have a yeast infection, but am not sure, because the symptoms are gone.
