Help weaning a Toddler? Dairy Free…help…?

I really, really, really want to wean my 18 month old. I love her so much, but I’m done. We’ve had a recurring yeast infection since she was three months old and I’ll never get rid of it until she stops nursing. Also, I’m starting to work part time. I really want her to wean, but she is dead set against it.

Pediasure is actually milk based so this would not be an option if she has a milk allergy or intollerance. The best bet would be Silk Very Vanilla Fortified for Kids… Soy Milk. That is the best soy milk out there for children because it has more calcium, vitamins, and minerals that growing kids need. It is sweet too and tastes better than most of the other soy milks. It is in the fridge section of most grocery stores next to the regular cow’s milk. My second daughter was allergic to milk and continued to be allergic until she finally grew out of it at age nine. Some other treats she used to love were made from a brand called Tofutti. They make soy ice cream sandwiches, several flavors of ice cream, and other frozen treats that she loved. They also make soy cheese too. Vanilla rice milk and any rice milks don’t have the same nutrients that certain soy milks such as the one I mentioned do. Other good brands of soy milk are 8th Continent, and if you have a store called Whole Foods or Trader Joes they have excellent store brands. Hope I helped… again be careful of the Pediasure which is milk based. I did not breastfeed so I can’t help you with that part of your question.
