Yeast Infections And Pregnancy Treatment
Pregnancy and Monistat 7?
I tested positive for pregnancy yesterday on an at home test. I have a yeast infection and I started a 7 day treatment with Monistat last night. If I am pregnant (I’ve gotten false positives before) will this affect the pregnancy?
I used Monistat during my pregnancy because my doctor told me I could. The internal Ph balance may get thrown off during pregnancy so it can be more common to get a yeast infection during pregnancy. Good luck with the pregnancy.
Oh and Maybe is correct about the Rh factor. I found out I was pregnant after I got both a positive and then negative pregnancy home test. The blood test told my dr. the day I got the negative result was telling me and my dr. I was indeed pregnant. Unfortunately I started bleeding five days later and had I not gone in for blood work I would have thought I had a late period. I was sure I miscarried because the test told me I was. I went to the dr’s office to get an ultrasound a few days later which confirmed I miscarried. I also was given a Rhogam shot to prevent me from miscarrying again because I have a negative blood type and hubby has a positive blood type. If any of the babies had a positive blood type I would have required another Rhogam shot but they turned out to be negative. With the one that I miscarried there wasn’t anyway to tell if the unborn had positive or negative blood.
