Yeast Infections Baby Powder
Yeast infection on newborn..?
My newborn son has thay yeast infection thing in between his legs and his… little boy parts (you know like the one they get under their neck) despite how dry I try to keep it, and how clean, and how much baby powder I use. he gets a bath everynight (starting three days ago his umbilical cord fell off)
How do I prevent this and what should I put on it??? The rash is no where else, not even on the neck. He is three weeks old.
It’s really not severe its just starting, but my daughter has had it, only everywhere when she was a baby and developed painful bleeding rashes (that I definately took to the doctor) he recommended monostat, but can I use that with a boy?…
You can use an OTC antifungal cream like monistat EXTERNAL itch relief cream, or the cream for jock itch or athlete’s foot. Ask the pharmacist and they will find the generic brand for you.
Or you can use plain, unsweetened yogurt. Probiotic pills (crack open and use the powder), grapefruit seed extract (15 drops per oz of distilled water), or 1 part vinegar (preferably cider vinegar with “the mother”) to 10 parts water
