Yeast Infections Food To Avoid
Are there any good over the counter drugs for yeast infections?
I am doing everything right. I have avoided sugar (in drinks and food), I am wearing cotton underwear, showering regularly, and eating yogurt everyday. I am still itching, and I believe its from my birth control, because this has happened before. I am away at college and I do not have a doctor here, nor do I have time to go to the doctor. Is there anything I can pick up at a drug store that is over the counter that can help me?

First of all, we should all find the time to visit our doctor if needed. There, I got it off my chest.
Second, treatments:
You are doing all the right things, just need some extra “oomph”
A good quality probiotic can help. Yes, it’s the same bacteria as found in yogurt, but it’s unlikely you can get enough from eating yogurt.
You’re on birth control, so there might be possible interactions with the “azoles”. Grapefruit seed extract is generally the easiest tolerated. Might be a good way to go as you say it’s happened before, so will probably happen again.
Enzyme formulas are also very effective. These eat the Candida cell walls. No die-off symptoms either.
