Yeast Infections On Babies Bottoms
I need some advise!?
I brought my 7 week old daughtor into the ER on thursday night. She has R.S.V. And because her blood oxygen levels were in the 80%’s the doctor decided it was best to admit her. She has had blood work done everyday, and yesterday her white cell count was back down so the doctor thought she was getting better. Today’s blood work came back and the white count was back up, meaning that she has a secondary infection. The doctor told me it could be one of two things. Pneumonia or Bronchitis. And she also has Thrush, which is a yeast infection in the mouth. And she has a yeast infection on her bottom. Things are really hard right now for me to handle and I just need some advise. I think about what’s happening with my new born baby and i start crying. I want to help her so much but i can’t I don’t know what to do for her. Her doctor told me that we will be in the hospital for atlease another week. It’s very hard to handle.
When my son was about this old, too, he was admitted into the hospital. He had a very high temperature that wouldn’t go down no matter what we did. It was around 103-104 even after taking tylenol. I know it is so very hard to see your baby in pain, but she is in the best place right now, close to the doctors in case something does happen. Just hold her close and comfort her as much as you can. She will be just fine. I agree with others who say try to get family to help you. Without a bit of help it is very hard to make it through this types of thing. Just be strong and your little girl will be home before you know it!
