Yeast Infection On The Skin – Intertrigo

Intertrigo, on the other hand, the moisture builds under the skin fold and the yeast flourish leading to symptoms such as significant itching, redness, and scaling. The skin may develop some raw spots. Little red bumps and pustules may be present. Usually the involved skin is a sheet of redness.

People who have the chronic disease diabetes mallitus or anyone with borderline elevated blood sugars may find themselves more prone to developing intertrigo. This is because yeast love to thrive in sugar. In addition, people who have diabetes have lower resistance to infections like these.
