Yeast Infections Painful
Is It Normal to Get Yeast Infections After Having Sex?
I had sex recently for the first time in about a year and a half. (A condom was used, of course.) Intercourse was rather uncomfortable and painful, and I started itching and burning the next day. I started getting an icky discharge and realized that I had a yeast infection. I am using Monistat 3 now and I am on the second day of treatment. This is not the first time this has happened — he is my fourth sexual partner and I have gotten yeast infections in the past after not having had sex in a while. Am I maybe allergic to the condoms? Is the friction irritating my vagina and causing this? Does this happen to anyone else? Unfortuntely, I can’t get in to see my doctor until the end of next month to find out more.
you could be allergic to the latex or the lube on the condom. id try a diff brand or diff type of condom like Lam skin, either that or get on the pill and avoid condoms altogether.
