Chlamydia infection & itchy anus!?
Hi there,
I was tested positive for Chlamydia roughly a month ago (I know, I know — smart move not using a condom, Ash!), and upon being tested a second time two weeks ago, the results came back clear. However, while the itching around my vagina has cleared, my anus is incredibly itchy and I’m not coming up with any ideas as to why this is. I realize that taking such a heavy dosage of antibiotics causes the natural organisms in your body to be thrown out of balance thus causing yeast infections and whatnot, but why would my anus be itchy and not my vagina? I read that Chlamydia can infect the genitals, rectum, eyes & mouth. Will I need to have four separate tests done to make sure I don’t have any other areas infected?
No once the test are done and they give you medicine you should be clear all around. As to your itchy but? I don’t know? THere’s not a rash or bumps around the area? Go ask the dr. again or make sure its dry completely?
